ABOUT Families United Services
Families United Services (FUS) is a non-for-profit, family services organization based in Fayetteville, G.A.
Families United Services, Inc ( F. U. S., Inc. ) was founded by Pamela Sears-McKenzie in March of 2004. F.U.S., Inc. is a not-for-profit private organization that partner with the Department of Human Resources (MHDDAD), Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) Department of Juvenille Justice (DJJ), Cenpatico Behavioral Health, Amerigroup Healthcare and Wellcare Behavioral Health. These contracts are funded to provide mental health, substance abuse, and wrap-around services to meet the needs of children, adolescents, and their families in need of intervention. The primary purpose of providing these services is to meet the needs of consumers struggling with mental health and addictive diseases that are inhibiting them from living a productive quality life. F.U.S seeks to have a positive impact on the communities that we serve.
Our mission is to provide tools and support to foster positive growth in children, adolescents, and their families. Our goal is to maintain a high standard of excellence in human services. Our approach is to integrate individual, family, and community resources to maximize satisfaction and outcomes of services provided to this target population. F.U.S believes that all children should have protection and a home that would provide them with the foundation for a healthy family environment in order to overcome barriers and societal challenges which would inhibit them from becoming successful and self- sufficient citizens. Services are provided to consumers in their homes, schools, and their community settings.
Family United Services, Inc. is committed to building partnerships with community agencies including child welfare, juvenile justice, and school systems. F.U.S. Inc. promotes practices which do not discriminate against individuals based on age, gender, race, color, religion, national origin, creed, disability, and individuals with alternative life-styles. We focus on providing individuals with equitable treatment and services.
Individuals participating in programs offered at F. U. S. Inc. may be referred either by another agency or through self- referrals. Referrals may be submitted by telephone, by faxing a completed referral form to the main office, or by using our secure website. Contact is attempted in response to all referrals within 24 hours of receipt in an effort to schedule an early intake assessment.
F.U.S.Inc. accepts a variety of payment methods for services including Peach Care, Medicaid, private insurance, and self- pay utilizing a sliding fee scale. We are a not- for profit state funded agency and no one is denied services based upon inability to pay.
